Volume I - Elementary Writing Curriculum

Volume 1 provides background information about the writing program, and the entire curriculum including worksheets, rubrics, and editing sheets to implement it. This is a resource binder for
Vol. 2 and can be purchased as a stand-alone curriculum BUT it does NOT have lesson plans (only a layout of the program).

Volume II is for grades K-5 and is a step-by-step writing guide with comprehensive lesson plans for each grade for an entire year to accompany volume 1.

A teacher’s K-5th grade writing guide with thirty-six weeks of comprehensive lesson plans covering narrative and expository writing including printable worksheets, handouts, two organizers (webs or mind maps, and BMEs), editing sheets, and samples for each grade level. Step by step instructions are given for writing instruction each day. Suggestions are included to work with students who are behind and to allow advanced students to excel.

This can be purchased be either an entire school/district or by the grade for single-users only (can not share with other teachers). If purchased from a school/district, then it will be shipped. A school/district will receive a cd that contains the software for the program. This is a school-site license.  There is no renewal for this. Single-users can download this as an Ebook from this site.

RED Binder – Jump start (for students who cannot write a 5 paragraph essay). Provides step-by-step lesson plans, assessments, grading rubrics, and prompts for 9 weeks of expository writing.

Comprehensive lesson plans with samples are included for Informative Writing, Summary/ Essay Writing, Autobiography /Biography, Cause/Effect, Problem/Solution, and Persuasive Writing.

GREEN Binder – Provides comprehensive lesson plans with samples for  Response to Literature, Compare/Contrast, Descriptive Writing, Autobiographical  Narrative, Narrative, Letters, How to, Research Papers, and Oral Presentations. Also includes an added bonus section for Content Teachers with prompts demonstrating how content teachers can use the program in writing assignments.
